Fun Fridays

Fun Fridays are now over for the season and will resume mid May 2011.  

Sailors must be stage 2 to take part..   The aim of fun Fridays is to build confidence and get lots of practice sailing.   By the time our young sailors know it all and are teeming with confidence, we will ask them to move on up to novice racing.   “Fun Fridays” is a stepping stone to that.  

The cost of a “Fun Fridays” session is £8, plus £5 if you need to hire a wetsuit. We will sell off our old stock of junior wetsuits for £30, so if you plan to attend several sessions, it will be much cheaper to buy your own wetsuit.   Please note that your junior annual club membership (currently £15 per year) must also be paid up for you to take part in Fun Fridays.   Session times are from 6.30-8.30pm. 

There are some 2^nd hand wetsuits for sale in the clubhouse, and a notice board for adverts if you have any outgrown wetsuits looking for new homes!

Friday Night Novice Racing

Friday night novice racing is now over for the Season.   Congratulations to Cameron Harris, winner for 2010.   Friday night Novice Racing will resume Mid May 2011.

Buchaness Model Yacht Club

Would you like to try model yacht racing?   The Buchaness model yacht club race the 1 metre class in Peterhead.   It's a great way of sharpening up your rules awareness.   They sail all year round, and have a club boat so that you can try before you buy.   For more information click here.
