RYA Dinghy Instructor Courses

Would you like to become an instructor? The Dinghy instructor course is one of the most fun and useful courses the RYA runs. This could lead you to a great summer working outdoors with like minded people, doing something you love, or give you an opportunity to introduce others to the thrill of going sailing at your local club.

Dates:

DI1 9th - 13th April 2012

DI2 25th - 29th June 2012

Cost £220

Candidates must hold the following prior to going on the course:

· RYA powerboat level 2 certificate

· A current first aid certificate (RYA one or similar)

Candidates must also pass a pre-entry assessment prior to the course to ensure their sailing skills are of a sufficient level. The pre-entry can be done at Peterhead, but it must be arranged for a time before the course is due to start. The minimum age to become a dinghy instructor is 16.

Candidates will also either need to become a member of the RYA or pay an instructor registration fee on completion of the course. Currently it is cheaper to become a member of the RYA.
